real growth 3
you meet yourself
the shame of nakedness is too much,
they rush to the veil of masquerades,
of conformity tones, hues of acceptance.
nakedness is the rust needed to break the chain of containment,
finally seeing your flaws,
knowing you’re an ugly thing,
staring at your limbs and seeing the grotesque,
is like an artist paying attention to detail,
shit artists paint perfection,
great artists paint truth.
Seeing yourself in full colour,
or in monochrome,
is what will bring you home,
whatever which colour or shade you are,
just see yourself for the bludgeoned ugly you are,
let others worry about if you’re beautiful to them or not.
