front lines of attack
taking the brunt of war
on my skin
in my heart

when it’s your self you have to defeat
PTSD is an excuse to stop engaging

be sure you have tagged yourself
by winning your own battle first
the greatest foe is always in the trenches of you
the land mines to cross over
are far too many for most to even begin the task
for the sincere
they’re not afraid to die trying
cleanse your own sanctuary with all out war
there is no inner peace with the self for the sincere.
