Because the stereotype of a man is to be as tough as a washboard, scars laden on his body that tell stories, making them the perfect target practise for everyone’s vulgarities to take aim at, what of the scars of his mind?
Domestic violence is as real for men as it is for women, stereotypes are such a motherfucker to to rid oneself of.
I’m grateful for my ability to let things slide, probably because I’m a numb arsehole at times, but I feel for those who cannot handle the pressure, both male and female, who end up in places they shouldn’t be, or continue to dwell in places and with people they don’t need to be at or with.
