I’d rather be the black sheep
Amongst white conformity
I’m content to be beyond the black stump
Than to be bound by inner society
Have a black mark against my name
Than to be false notoriety
And to be Ceylon black tea
Rather than fruity varieties
I’m happy to turn black and blue
Devoted to my letter and prose
Be as black as the devil in the black of night
But able to curl your toes
I’ll be black eyed, black listed, your secret black book
Happy to be black faced, black marked
Black body floating in the brook
Most of all I’m happy to be
A blacksmith of words and soul
To stain your existence with black ink
Turn your white life to black gold

Great piece of resistance against structural racism and white hypocrisy. Love it. I hope you don’t mind, I reblogged because I liked it so much.
